Course Rules

Access to the golf course
Anyone wishing to enter the golf course to play a round must first report to the reception desk.
Players must be in possession of a valid EGA handicap certificate from the Dutch Golf Federation, a comparable foreign certificate or a valid Tespelduyn course permit. Annual cardholders and business club annual cardholders entering the course must have a bag label visibly attached to their golf bag.

The participation of a non-golfing person in a flight is not allowed for safety reasons. If for medical reasons a non-golfing person must accompany a flight, then only in consultation with the management.

Golf equipment
Each golfer should play with their own set of clubs. Joint play from one bag is not permitted. It is prohibited to play in the course with driving range balls. A pitchfork belongs to the golf equipment.

Clothing & Footwear
Players must be dressed in accordance with the clothing & footwear requirement.

Rule
Instructions from staff and marshals must be followed.

Greenkeepers
Rule of thumb: Flashing light on? Don't hit!
Greenkeepers always have the right of way when performing their duties.

Handicart, baby carriage, trolleys
Never drive across the tees, front greens and greens. Also do not drive between bunker and green. Put your equipment down (on the way to the next tee) in such a way that after leaving the green you do not obstruct following players.

Carrier bags
Never place carrier bags on tee-off, front green or green.

Turning areas/tees
At the turning areas, leave transportation equipment, trolley or carry-on bag on the paved path. This spares the surrounding area. Make practice swings off the tee and only a single practice swing on the tee.

General area
Put outgrown plows (divots) back everywhere on the course except the tee-off area. Do the same with "forgotten" pebbles from others.
Dispose of litter in the bins provided. Throw broken tees into the tee-marker funnels.
Distance markers give the distance to the center of the green.

Bunkers
Always enter and exit a bunker on the low side; this prevents damaged edges. Never step out of a bunker on the green side. Rake the bunker after playing by sweeping away from you and then put the rake back.

Rough
You should be respectful of flora and fauna. Do not damage reeds or vegetation.

Greens
Always repair damages like pitch and spike marks with a pitchfork. Preferably also the damages forgotten by your predecessor. Do not use a tee as a marker; this creates unnecessary holes. Remember that the green is the most valuable part of the course ("sacred ground"), so treat it accordingly.

Winter greens
When winter greens are used then it is prohibited to enter or play on the summer greens. You treat the summer greens as GUR in that situation.

Passing
A flight that cannot keep its place in the course and/or loses more than one hole distance on the previous flight must pass the following flight. Pay regular attention to the situation in the course both in front of and behind you.

We play Ready Golf on our course. Read what Ready Golf entails here .

Instruction
Golf professionals other than those working at Tespelduyn are not authorized to give instructional lessons on the course.

Special circumstances
In circumstances not provided for in these regulations, the marshal, reception and/or management of Tespelduyn will decide.

Violations
The above guidelines have been drawn up to keep the game of golf on our golf course as enjoyable as possible for everyone and to keep the golf course in the best possible condition. Systematic disregard of the guidelines can lead to personal measures with in extreme cases (temporary) denial of access to the course and exclusion from competitions and matches at Tespelduyn.

Landgoed & Golf Course Tespelduyn is not liable for loss or damage to players' property throughout the property.
