Explanation / Rules Saturday afternoon competition
- Both annual pass holders and green fee players can participate.
- Pre-registration required, so no walk-in.
- Registration is possible until Thursday noon.
- Annual cardholders register via the app.
- Greenfees players can sign up by sending an email to receptie@tespelduyn.nl. In this mail please indicate your GSN-Number, handicap and desired starting time. Then please call reception on Saturday morning and ask for your final start time.
- You choose your desired start time when you register.
- If you are alone in a flight, then this entry may be moved. If moved then you will be placed close to your desired start time.
- Keep an eye on the start list in the app on Saturday for the final start time.
- Games are played in flights of min. 2 (due to marks) and max. 4 participants.
- Start times every 10 minutes.
- The participant records his/her name and handicap on a scorecard. And submits it fully completed (i.e. with final score, name and signature marker) to the competition committee. Cards that are not fully completed or illegible will not count for the match and competition.
- The participant enters his score in the Tespelduyn app for match results. And enters his score in the organization where he/she is affiliated for handicap registration.
- You compete for the standings if you participate at least 5 times. The best 5 scores count for the ranking.
- If a race is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the race committee may decide to deviate from this number.
- There are 4 categories: HCP 0 - 20.0 / HCP 20.1 - 26.0 / HCP 26.1 - 36 / HCP 36.1 - 54
- Upon initial entry, a player is placed in the category of the handicap he/she has at that time. Throughout the competition, the participant will continue to play in this category. Even if his or her handicap changes.
- Games will be played with the WHS handicap and according to NGF golf rules. Note: A participant may not practice on the competition course on the day of the competition before the start of the round, nor may he/she test any green of that course by rolling a ball over the green.
- Also contains an additional challenging competition element: the Ringerscore (see below).
- In addition to the regular competition and Ringers score, there is also a birdie classification (no categories)
- The competition will conclude with a fun final evening with shotgun competition, buffet and awards ceremony. This final match does not count toward the final standings.
- Participation fee: €2 per match (excluding any green fees).
- In case of unforeseen circumstances, the competition committee will decide.
Ringerscore
The goal is to achieve the lowest possible number of strokes for each hole. For the Ringers score, each round will look at whether a hole was played with fewer strokes than in previous competitions. If this is the case, the lowest score will be taken over. The player who has the fewest strokes on his 9-hole card at the end of the Saturday Afternoon Competition is the Ringerscore champion.
