Koen van Diemen and Maaike Baker club champions Golf Course Tespelduyn

Saturday, Aug. 20 and Sunday, Aug. 21, at Landgoed & Golf Course Tespelduyn, they competed for the 2022 Strokeplay Championship, the annual club championship over 36-holes.

The competition was played under perfect conditions and the golfers fought an exciting battle for the coveted title. Among the men, after 36 holes Koen van Diemen and Randy den Elzen were both on 139 strokes. After 3 exciting play-off holes Koen van Diemen was the eventual winner. Number 3 for the men was Laurens de Lange with 140 strokes.

Among the ladies, Maaike Baker prolonged her title!

With a big improvement of no less than 20 strokes compared to last year, Maaike crowned herself winner with 152 strokes. Annemarie Menken was2nd with 162 strokes and Angeline Schouten took bronze with 171 strokes. "We can look back on a wonderful championship with deserved winners," said Peter Duivenvoorde of Landgoed & Golf Course Tespelduyn. "Strokeplay is the purest form of golf because no handicap calculation applies; the golfer who needs the least number of strokes is the winner."
