Bloembollenbaan Noordwijkerhout - Learning to play golf

your game at Tespelduyn

Do you want to improve your game? That's great, because at Golf Course Tespelduyn all aspects of the game are covered! Distances, weather conditions, terrain and club knowledge... You will learn it in practice!

Course management

At golf course Tespelduyn, good course management is needed. With several water features and screened greens, it is important to go through the holes in stages beforehand. An example on hole 9: 130 yards to the water is an iron 8, after this an iron 6 should be enough to hit the green. Be careful to maintain the loft (slope) on the club, because behind the green is a large bunker. So the ball must stop in time. With two putts, your par is in.

Holes to work on your game

Hole 3 is considered the biggest challenge when playing the first nine holes. For the second nine, however, it is different. Hole 13 you play back up the mound. It is important that you land at the end of the fairway with your second stroke. Then you can get ready for the stroke of your life. The most common club to play The Mound on is an iron 7.

Club Choice

Hole 5 is one such example. At 105 yards, this is right in between a pitching wedge and a sand wedge for many golfers. What will you do? An S with higher swing speed or a quiet P? Do you have a gap wedge? Then this is a hole with birdie opportunities for you.

Parkholes

The golf course features three park holes. These can be played for free with a green fee for 9-holes or access to the driving range. Ideal to test your short game just before a round or of course to practice. There is water in the middle of park hole 1 and park hole 3. So work on that mental barrier!

Go low...

Got a day with wind to catch? Then you can work perfectly on your punch or stinger (these are low ball flights). A low ball flight is less affected by the wind. Ball position backwards and grab one more club is the advice. Do try it out on the driving range first. Without practice it still sometimes wants to go wrong.
